Bec & Dan's BCNA Skydive Challenge

Story

G'day,

We have decided skydive as part of the  'Be Brave Challenge' for the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA)! Yep we are a little crazy!

As many of you know, our beautiful Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in January 2014. On her journey Mum underwent 18 long months of treatment. This included 5 operations, 18 home nurses visits, 16 rounds of chemo, 18 rounds of Herceptin, 30 radiation sessions, 1 emergency hospitalisation & 121 doctors appointments. She handled this challenge with an unwavering positivity and a determination to face every challenge head on.

On the 14 February 2016 we will be jumping out of a plane to celebrate our Mum, our champion. So Bec will be landing in Rockingham WA and Dan will be landing in Geelong Victoria.

In 2015, it is estimated that there will be 15 740 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in Australia. BCNA provide a My Journey Kit to all those newly diagnosed with breast cancer which provides valuable, research based information which can help women make informed decisions about their treatment and also assist with working through the shock of the diagnosis. They also provide a My Care Kit for women who have recently had breast cancer surgery. It contains a Berlei bra that can be worn post operatively and during radiation treatment. It also includes a Pilates program to strengthen recovery following surgery. My Mum received both of these kits during her journey, they were just what she needed at the right time.

Please support our efforts and this great cause by making a secure online donation and leaving us a message of support. Big or small it all counts.

We are also seeking donations for our raffles, online auctions, sausage sizzles and corporate sponsorships so if you can help or know anyone that could (eg your local Tupperware rep, the awesome candle lady, business owner, etc) please let us know - that would be amazing & we would love you forever!

We would also really appreciate it if you could 'Like' and share our page above or comment below so more people know about it.

Click 'Donate' above to make a secure online donation and help Team Leach reach our $5000 target. We welcome any contribution, great or small, that you could make!

Thanks so much for your support - Bec & Dan
